A computer needs to have top-notch hardware for 3D design. Programs like AutoCAD require specific hardware for smooth operation, and it’s a bad idea to make 3D designs on low-quality machines. These types of programs can easily crash a substandard computer. Computer crashes lead to lost work, frustration, and slow project completion rates. This is exactly why it’s important to have a custom-built CAD Computer. Read more “Advantages of a Custom Built CAD Computer”
When building your computer never overlook the importance of choosing the right power supply unit. Power supplies are based on more than just wattage, and bigger is not always better or the best option for your needs. A solid computer power supply is necessary for your computer’s stability and reliability. Selecting one is as important as selecting the other components in your computer build such as the hard drive or video card.
Power supplies are not talked about in the same light as a new video card or processor but, you will be thankful you picked the right one. Read more “How To Pick The Right Power Supply For Your Computer”
When thinking about your computing environment, what would you consider to be one of the most important parts of it? Would it be your graphics card? Your CPU? Or would it be the amount of RAM your PC has? Even though these components are vital to any computer, the real answer would be none of the above.
What would be considered more important in your computing environment would actually be your data. Everything else is easily replaceable except for your data. Once it is lost, it will be gone forever. And that is why you must have a backup plan in case any of your drives fail. Even though it might seem like a simple idea just to backup your data and restore it whenever you need to, it is actually a lot more difficult and time-consuming.
Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5 processors are based on the new “Zen” microarchitecture. The “Zen” architecture is a new design from the ground up, with a better core engine, improved cache system and lower power consumption. The new design will provide more than 52% improvement in instructions-per-clock over the last generation AMD core.
The “Zen” processors require newly designed motherboards with socket AM4. There are currently 3 available chipset options for the Ryzen family of processors. Two of the chipsets, the X370 and B350, are unlocked for overclocking.
Seagate’s New 12TB Enterprise Hard Drive
If you are like me, seeing the availability of a 12TB hard drive is exciting. For those of us with massive amounts of music and videos, large hard drives are a must. The downside is that the largest hard drive on the block is the most expensive, especially an Enterprise version. The release of the 12TB means the 8TB and 10TB drives should eventually drop in price. Seagate is also planning on releasing a 14TB and 16TB drive over the next 12 to 18 months, with a 20TB drive arriving at a later date.
The new Intel “Skylake” line of 6th generation processors is as exciting as all new processor lines are: things are faster, stronger, and pull less power. Here is a little guide to what you need to know about Intel Skylake processors before you upgrade your PC. Read more “Things To Know Before Upgrading To Skylake”
